The conduct of intensive community engagement, assembly meeting, and security forums resulted to the voluntary surrender of another two Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) (Sulu-based) members to Philippine military with their high powered firearms.
The surrenderees were presented to MGEN ARIEL R CACULITAN PN(M), Commandant, Philippine Marine Corps during his visit on 10 July 2021.
In addition, sacks of rice and other food packs were handed over by CPMC to the surrenderees.
Such accomplishment manifests the trust and confidence of the populace of Tawi-Tawi Province to the Philippine Marines in maintaining the peace and security, thereby creating an environment suitable for peace and development.
